If you register for this new service you can book routine GP appointments online as well as view and order your repeat medications through the same system. Please be aware that this facility is only for ordering medications which are on your repeat medication list. Please use the comments box at the bottom of the prescription ordering screen for entering where you wish to pick up the prescription.
Our previous online prescription ordering service ceased as of 30th November 2017.
Patient Access gives you access to your repeat medication list directly from your medical record and therefore to ensure we adhere to data protection legislation, we do require patients to individually register for this service. To register please either bring two forms of ID with you to reception and complete the application form or print the application form (see below) and bring it to reception with the required ID.

Please note that we require two full working days in order to process repeat prescriptions and, if there are any queries with your prescription, it may take a little longer.
We are very happy to accept prescription requests up to two weeks early, to ensure that there is no delay to you.
You may wish to register to manage your repeat prescriptions online via the link at the top of this page. Please note, you are required to register at reception for this service prior to using it. Please see first tab for information. If you do so, after logging in, you will be able to see the list of medications that are on repeat. If you have any message, there is a comments box towards the bottom of the page.
Repeat prescriptions may be obtained by:
The completed prescription will be ready within 48 hours from request. Repeat prescriptions can be collected at reception or directly from the local chemists, either Main Street or Holmhead in Kilbirnie, or from Well or Penmans pharmacy in Beith. Patients must inform the receptionist where they wish to collect prescription. Repeat prescriptions are issued for items which have been agreed by a doctor previously. All patients with repeat prescriptions must be seen at predetermined intervals by a doctor.
If you have a preferred pharmacist, you can go to them and nominate them as your designated pharmacy. You can also hand in your repeat prescription request to them. Subsequently, all of your prescriptions will automatically be sent to this nominated pharmacy. Please note that some prescription items, such as controlled drugs, cannot be sent electronically.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
